Safety first. Always.
Knowing that when we do our job properly, people go home safely. That’s not a small thing, that’s everything. People’s lives depend on decisions made on site, every single day. That weight doesn’t burden me, it drives me.
I like solving problems that matter. And I like leading people, not just managing them, there’s a difference. I care deeply about the human side of it. Helping someone understand why something matters, not just telling them what the rule is, that’s where the real work happens.
When someone starts thinking about safety rather than just following rules, that’s the moment I’m here for.
Growth
What makes me most proud about working at Freyssinet? Honestly, it’s the growth – not just my own, but what I’ve been part of building around me.
Early in my career, Freyssinet trusted me with real responsibility, managing QSE across more than ten countries in the MENA and India region. That experience shaped who I am. It wasn’t just about technical knowledge; it taught me how to be adaptable, people‑aware, and culturally intelligent.
You learn quickly that you have to read people, context, and environment. You need to understand the legal landscape in each country and, more importantly, know how to bring people with you rather than simply enforce rules. That experience built something in me that no lecture theatre ever could.
From there, I kept pushing myself – gaining Chartered membership with IOSH and Fellowship with IIRSM. Not for the titles, but because when people place their trust in your judgement, you owe them the very best of yourself.
What I’m most proud of, though, is the people side of the role. Delivering training to more than 80 colleagues, supporting professional certifications, and mentoring those just starting out. Watching someone grow in confidence and become the person others turn to stays with you far longer than any achievement on paper.
Every day still brings something new. I’m still learning, still adapting — and that’s what I value most about this journey. The moment you stop growing is the moment you stop contributing.
What are the main qualities needed in your role?
Resilience, assertiveness, technical competence, and adaptability.
Three words to describe Freyssinet?
Innovative, passion, solution provider and I would add mobility.
