- 2023 - I started working at Freyssinet in 2023 as a site engineer with a VIE contract (international corporate volunteering).
- Current - Freyssinet UK site engineer on the HS2 project.
Engineering that makes a difference
This role allows me to contribute to the realization of a major infrastructure project that will have a significant impact on the UK’s mobility and economy. As a site engineer, I am challenged daily by complex and engaging problems that demand innovative solutions, which motivates me greatly.
My job involves a wide variety of tasks, from planning to field management, which makes it dynamic and challenging. I love seeing the results of my work in the form of real, physical projects.
Key skills
The construction industry is constantly evolving, so its important never stop learning and adapting. Some of the key skills I think you need in this role is a strong understanding of engineering and construction principles, including construction standards, materials, construction methods, and advanced construction technologies.
